Microsoft Windows Vista2Released on April 29, 2009, Vista SP2 finally brings a modicum of usability into Microsoft's Vista operating system.  Whilst not going so far as making it fast, it has made it faster and more stable.  Not enough to take any real market share and stop the product from forever being known as Windows ME R2, it has at least made life for those running Vista a little less bad.
Microsoft Windows XP Pro3Released on 21 April, 2008.  Provides increased Internet security and system stability.  Due to its increased security it can cause some programs to fail.  Look for updates for these programs in this case.  As of 14 April, 2009, Windows XP is in Extended Support (ie, Security fixes only).  As of 8 April, 2014, Windows XP support is finished.
